The workshop will be a full-day event, and this time the focus is on financial efficiency in a residential association. It will cover areas that an estate manager needs to be the master of – handling invoices, collecting dues, finding the right vendors, making payments to vendors, handling disputes, and how to make these easier using software.

The sharing of best practices by estate managers, which was well received in the first workshop will of course be present in this workshop as well.

In addition, a hands on training on the Accounting Package of ApartmentAdda will be imparted.

Gated communities have been rising as the preferred destination for homeseekers in Bengaluru over the last decade. They offer a structured space both for living in individual homes and as a community, with a variety of amenities – club houses, swimming pools, community centres, parks, and more.

With the popularity of gated communities on the rise, the demand for estate managers is equally gaining momentum. Estate managers are personnel with background in property/facility maintenance, with an aptitude for problem solving, customer relationship management, and civil maintenance. However opportunities for managers to equip themselves with necessary skills and continuously learn from experts and peers, are very few, if any.

Appartment Adda says it has started its series of workshops to help estate managers and aspiring estate managers. " Our focus is to have ApartmentAdda work as a platform for Estate Managers to share best practices, refine their skillsets, as well as learn to utilize technology for overall excellence " says, Sangeeta Banerjee, Co-founder of ApartmentAdda.com. The firstEstate Manager Workshop was held on 29th July.

Registrations are open for the event at appartmentadda.com.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."  That is perhaps the…

Stormwater, floods and the city: Inside a citizen audit of Bengaluru’s K200 drain

A walk along Bengaluru’s K200 stormwater drain shows shifting conditions every 100 metres, revealing flooding risks and repair possibilities.

I have been following the K100 stormwater drain (SWD) project for some time and had loosely worked on it in the past. Once neglected, this stretch from Majestic to Bellandur Lake has gradually been transformed into a critical part of the neighbourhood’s civic infrastructure. As I have a theoretical understanding of what Bengaluru’s stormwater drains are intended to do and why they matter, a citizen audit of the K200 SWD held on January 31st felt like a chance to move beyond theory and see things up close. The proposed audit focused on a stretch of the K200 running from HSR…
