Nominations for the prestigious Namma Bengaluru Awards 2016, which honours and celebrates the efforts of those citizens who have been at the forefront of the fight for a better Bengaluru, is coming to a close on November 30, 2016. If an ordinary individual doing extraordinary work has touched your life, then NOW is the time to nominate them for the awards and allow their stories to inspire more such unsung heroes.

About Namma Bengaluru Awards

Since 2009, the awards have sparked the imagination of a better city and have recognized exemplary achievement of individuals who have helped transform our understanding of accountability towards change. These awards embody the very spirit of humanity and common good that these exceptional individuals reflect. The winners will be awarded prize money of Rs 2 lakhs.

Operating on the tenets of transparency, NBA nominations are made by the citizen. An esteemed jury comprising of 19 distinguished citizens of Bengaluru will assess and finalize the winners. The 2016 awards program includes a total of 6 award categories:

–          Citizen Individual of the Year

–          Rising Star of the Year

–          Social Entrepreneur of the Year

–          Government Official of the Year

–          Media Person of the Year

–          Namma Bengalurean of the Year
