 The second phase of'B' Division Hockey tournament being held by Karnataka State Hockey Association (KSHA) began yesterday, 18th August and will go on till 23rd August after which the thrid phase will begin. Karnataka State Billiards Association (KSBA) announced the first '6 Reds Snooker Karnataka State Ranking Tournament 2011', for men and women. 6-red, also known as six-red, is a shorter format of snooker which is played with six red balls instead of the standard fifteen. David Ramanath, former Karnataka State hockey player who also played for Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Bangalore, passed away in Illinios, Chicago, USA on 7th August after protracted illness for some months. He was with RBI for 15 years and there after migrated to USA. Karnataka State Hockey Association offered their condolences for his passing away and noted in their press release, "He was a jovial person and endeared himself to one and all." The Karnataka State Hockey Association, 'B' Division Hockey League Championship began on the 22nd of July and will go on till the 21st of August. FORward150 initiated Cycling group about 6 months back to promote cycling in commuting and fun riding. It was named as FORward150_on_cycle. Our group was recently branded as COCO [Cycle On Cycle Onwards] to make it more generic and accommodate members from neighbouring areas in promoting cycling.
