Post Offices as enrollment centres for UID

UID enrollments kicked off in Bengaluru in the last week of June. Where can you get enrolled?

18 post offices in Bengaluru have been identified as enrollment centres for UID. The UID or Aadhaar was launched in the last week of June.

There are no jurisdictional restrictions on the post offices for enrollment. Anyone from any locality can enroll in the nearest post office, among those listed.

There is also no last date fixed for the enrollments unlike voter’s id. The individuals have to only take the relevant documents along.

Here’s the list of the 18 post offices in the city

  2. Vijayanagar PO
  3. Basavanagudi HO
  4. Jayanagar HO
  5. Wilson Garden HO
  6. Nandini Layout PO
  7. Mahalakshmi Layout PO
  8. RT nagar HO
  9. Bangalore GPO
  10. HAL 2nd stage HO
  11. Basveshwaranagar MDG
  12. Malleshwaram MDG
  13. Benson Town PO
  14. Jalahalli HO
  15. Science Institute PO
  16. Jalahalli West PO
  17. Vidyaranyapura PO
  18. Yeshwanthpura PO

17 more post offices have been identified for the same. Citizen Matters will update the list once it is finalised.

    Just an FYI.:
    I went down to the Vijayanagar PO today. Turns out they give forms only between 9 AM and 10 AM.
