Yet another accident at the junction of 24 th Main  and 22 nd Cross in HSR Layout Sector 2 , Parangipalaya area on Wednesday, 19 October.This  time a pregnant woman, Chandrakala was killed  by a reckless speeding car. Nothing hurts a family that the suffering and death of a family member could have been prevented and unfortunately, we have confirmation from various sources including the police that his death was not instantaneous. Far away from the booming crowds of Freedom Park, the protest for Jan Lokpal turned several notes melodious on Saturday, 20th August. An all-night concert was organised by Kumaresh, one half of the sibling violinist  duo, Ganesh-Kumaresh to express their support for Anna Hazare's protest. Over 40 musicians performed at the 106 year old Gayana Samaj on K R Road in Basavanagudi, one of the oldest cultural organisations in the country. Residents of Sadashivanagar have submitted a representation to the Commissioner- BBMP against the proposed road widening of Sankey Road, arguing for a holistic solution to Bangalore's traffic problems instead of using Road widening as a universal solution.The representation was accompanied by 455 signatures (mostly one per household) representing about 1500 residents.The background of the representation is as follows:1.
