A team of ninth and tenth grade students from Greenwood High called Flaming Phoenix, recently competed in First Lego League (FLL) International open championship in Bath, UK. We participated in the international round after advancing in the regional and national round. In the international round, there were 94 teams from 36 countries. Children's Rights has been an important area of concern for Radio Active for many years now. Over the years, Radio Active has worked with many Child Rights activists, talked about the various issues and also connected various interested individuals and activist groups together. On the occasion on Radio Active's tenth anniversary, some of the activists of Child Rights Trust who have produced shows shared their appreciation of the work being done by Radio active in this area. As we know, a majority of India's underprivileged children are not educated. Even when they do go to school, they are often deprived of the staples for supporting their academic journey. Most urban kids start school with a fresh set of stationery and books each year. Garbage it seems has become an unavoidable part of our lives. However, we can reduce the amount we generate. A few months ago, 11 of us, all part of the Grandma & Grandpa's International Early Learning Center's Leadership Development Series, were discussing cleanliness of cities and their waste problems, and decided to go on a walk around our neighbourhood to understand how clean it actually is.
