On 6-9-2011, BBMP officials seized an Innova Car (KA04 MC5400) which was parked on the road and had advertisements on all the sides. It was being used to display advertisements.High Court has prohibited display of advertisements in that manner and it can be done so only if permitted by the Regional Transport Authority.If private vehicles violate the advertising policies and rules, the owners will be fined Rs. 5000 and further legal action will be undertaken. When summer starts, Bangaloreans face the prospect of power cuts. BESCOM makes no bones about the fact that it cannot provide electricity to its paying consumers the way it is supposed to do. But even after the monsoons set in, when the load is definitely lower, why does BESCOM resort to unsscheduled and long power cuts, without a word of warning, or apology? The Outer Ring Road Companies Association has advised commuters to avoid the Outer Ring Road at Bellandur and Intel junctions in the coming week. In addition to the flyover work at Devarabisanahalli and Kadubisanahalli, there is also pipe laying work by BWSSB and GAIL.
