Jawahar Union won the B Division League Bangalore Blues Cup 2011-12, on March 4th. They beat Bangalore Kickers to win the cup.Both teams have been promoted to A Division for the year 2012-13. Five teams - BWSSB, Young Muslims, Goans, Sunrising and BHEL (EPD) have been relegated to C Division. The tournament is being held at the Bangalore Football Stadium and is organised by Bangalore District Football Association. In the first match, Bangalore Kickers beat BWSSB by 3-2. Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) will conduct an Entrance/Promotional Football Referees Examination in the last week of April. Candidates in the age group of 18 to 28 years can apply. Candidate should have passed SSLC examination and have knowledge of football. Classes for the exam will be conducted during March. Karnataka lost bronze medal to Uttar Pradesh in the 38th Junior National Volleyball Championship for Boys, which ended on January 29th in West Bengal. Karnataka ranked fourth in the Boys Championship.UP beat Karnataka by 79-59 (28-26, 25-09, 26-24). Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh won gold and silver medals respectively.In the Girls Championship, Karnataka ranked fifth.
