A forlorn young boy, nestled next to the feet of his friends perched on a platform, gazes on into the distance, unmindful of the camera. The telling photograph was chosen as the winning entry at the 'Frames of My City' contest organised by Red Frames, a Bangalore-based photography website.   Here are some of the common butterflies that one can see around us, right now.   One of the pleasures of the summer is certainly....mangoes! The digital SLR and her obsession with it is what came to Koramangala resident Chitra Aiyer's  succour about a year and a half ago. Chitra tragically lost her father to an illness and in her own words, photography helped her cope. Shutterbugs of Bangalore have reason to rejoice. 'Weekend of Photography', a three-day event is being organised by two photographers based in the city- Mahesh Bhat and Mahesh Shantaram. The event kicks off on 8th April. Abhivyakti! (An expression!) - an exhibition of photographs taken by amateur photographer Ashwinikumar Maslekar, a resident of Brigade Millennium, was held on October 23rd, at Mayflower Block.
