In Karnataka’s Special Summary Revision (SIR), all enumeration forms have now been digitised. Out of the state’s 5.54 crore electors, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have signed and collected forms for over 4.45 crore voters. However, 1,09,13,776 voters, representing 19.69% of the electorate, have been categorised under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate, and Others (ASDDO) list.
Following the publication of the ASDDO list on August 4, election officials verified and removed three lakh voters from the list within the first six days. To check your registration details, search the electoral roll, or access voter verification services, visit the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka portal or the Voters’ Services Portal.
Here is a guide addressing common questions about the verification process and the steps to take if your name appears on the ASDDO list:
1. How do I check if my name is mentioned the ASDDO list?
Visit the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer’s website. On top of the page, you will find the link to the ASDDO list, click on that. Choose your district, your assembly constituency and polling station from the drive folder that opens. By opening the document of your assembly constituency and polling station, you can check if your name is included in the ASDDO list. In the same list, in the last column, you can also find the reason for being listed under ASDDO.

2. Does it mean I have been removed from the electoral roll, if my name is on the ASDDO list?
No. Being included in the ASDDO list does not mean deletion from electoral rolls. It means that the record of the voter needs further verification before including it in the final electoral roll. Even if your name is on the ASDDO list, you can still get yourself verified and get your name back on the electoral roll.
3. I have already filled and submitted a BLO-signed enumeration form, and yet my name is wrongly included in the ASDDO list. What should I do?
If you have submitted a signed enumeration form, you would have received an acknowledgement from your BLO for submitting the form. Contact your BLO immediately and inform them that your name is wrongly listed under ASDDO. If you show the acknowledgement form as proof, your BLO can roll back your name from the ASDDO list through the BLO app.
4. How do I contact my BLO?

5. What should I do if the reason mentioned for inclusion in the list is wrong?
Contact your BLO immediately and report to them that your name has been wrongly listed under ASDDO. The deadline for door-to-door verification is extended to August 17. Thus, your BLOs can still carry out verification with supporting documents to get your name off the ASDDO list. After this, follow up with your BLO regularly to ensure the verification is done correctly and your name is updated in the list.
6. I have shifted permanently and it is rightly listed as the reason in the ASDDO list. How should I ensure to get my name in the electoral roll?
In this case, please proceed to fill Form 6 to register as a new voter. You can either fill the form and declaration online or get a physical copy of the form from your BLO. Sufficient number of Form 6 and declaration form has been printed and distributed to all BLOs. Use the details and documents from your current residence to be included in the final electoral roll.
To fill Form 6 online:
- Visit ECI website.
- Find Fill Form 6 button. Click on it to fill the form and then the declaration form.
- Upload necessary documents.
To enroll as a new voter you must ensure to fulfill following conditions and provide supporting documents for the same.
- Should be a citizen of India
- Should have attained or will attain the age of 18 on 01.10.2026
- Must be a resident at the address mentioned in the application
- Should not be enrolled as a voter in any other parts of the country
- Should be able to submit the supporting documents as notified by the Election Commission of India.

7. I have informed my BLO that my name is wrongly listed under ASDDO and has provided supporting documents including acknowledgement. How can I check if my name is removed from the list?
The ASDDO list that is currently published is a folder of pdf documents that can not be edited. It is not an updatable database. So, the only way to verify this is to check with your BLO. “You have to confirm your enumeration form is uploaded and is now under the digitised forms category on the BLO app,” CEO of Karnataka V Anbukkumar said, according to a Deccan Herald article.
8. Is it important for everyone to check the ASDDO list and why?
The CEO has said that the enumeration process will be successful only if you have the acknowledgement copy and your name is not in the ASDDO list. So it is important for every voter in Karnataka to check if their names are not in the list, to move further in the SIR process and get your names on the final electoral roll.
