Did you know that so many amenities exist in the Bangalore City Railway Station?
Here is the list of amenities provided at the City Railway Station.
Such things as,
“Comesum is a 24hr multi cuisine food plaza located near the entrance to the foot over bridge. Passengers can order food from here to be delivered to their respective coaches by calling 56904478.”
and
“RETIRING ROOMS AND DORMITORIES – These are located on the first and second floors of the station building, above platform 1.There are 27 rooms in all, including 8 AC rooms, 18 Non-AC rooms and 1 room for railway officers. The dormitory has 50 beds in it”,
do sound pretty impressive!
This city station requires ramp on par with yeswanthur for easy walking/escalator instead of old staircase which were built 30-40 years back, elderly people cannot climb the stair case. Also the pushcart facility should be increased. Toiler in the I plaltform is closed for repair. Many people are not aware of rest room toilets.
I agree. Today I saw a few trolleys “for use by passengers” at the Cantonment Railway Station, lying unsused, gathering rust and dust. They were all jammed together, and hence not usable. Poor maintenance seems to be the motto of Indian Railways today.
Had a worst experience in the retiring room and dormitory at SBC station. The dormitories are resting place for bed bugs and you are sure to get paid sleepless night. If you do research in beg bugs or if you are an entomologist this is the right choice for your expedition.
