Inner Wheel Debate

Today, I was asked to judge a debate on the theme, "Are Women Truly LIberated?" for the Inner Wheel of one of the Rotary Clubs of Bangalore. I had a fellow-judge, a lady called Purnima Ranganath, and there were two teams of three speakers each. The moderator was my friend Raji Radhakrishna, who invited me. BBMP and PES College jointly co-ordinated a program to plant 300 different varieties of saplings on the roadside of Ganesha Temple in Ward No 165. PES College provided 300 tree guards.Extensive tree planting has been going on all over Bangalore with the help of public and private organizations. BBMP has provided 40 thousand tree guards. Several individuals and organizations have contributed nearly 50 thousand tree guards. Citizens are requested to add, delete or rectify changes in their names in the BBMP offices before 31-10-2011. After close to three years of delay, a 66 KVA substation will finally be constructed in Jaynagar 3rd Block by Karnatka Power Transmicssion Company Limited (KPTCL). The old BESCOM office in 3rd Block, near NMKRV Women's College will be demolished to make way for the substation. Proposed location for the substation in Jayanagar 3rd Block.   It was unusual to find the ATM closed, yet with a queue in front of it, so I looked..and found that the ATM cash was being refilled. Here's the procedure.
