Dr Sanjay Ahir is the Program Manager for dog management work at HSI/India. He has been working with street dog program for the past 7 years and has done over 30,000 surgeries, trained hundreds of veterinarians. He has worked in 2 countries implementing the street dog management programme and has been an integral contributor to the development and implementation of high standard of protocol utilized by HSI/India in all the projects he managed as Program Manager.

It’s 6:30 am on a quiet street in Nutan Society, Vadodara and a vehicle comes by. Three people wearing green T-shirts alight and start moving about, calling out to the street dogs, petting and then catching them by hand.
