Mayor met Citizens through Abhyudaya

Mayor D Venkatesh Murthy met the residents of Padmanabha Nagar, listened to their grievances and assured them a solution.

Residents Welfare Association of Padmanabha Nagar, under the aegis of Abhyudaya, arranged a platform for citizens to interact with Mayor  D Venkatesh Murthy and Deputy Mayor L Sreenivas at Carmel School, Banashankari, on June 2.

BBMP corporators H Suresh (Kumaraswamy Layout), A H Basavaraju (Banashankari Temple ward), V R Sharma- President Abhyudaya, N S Mukunda- Secretary Abhyudaya, V V Ramakrishna-Joint Secretary Abhyudaya and activist N S Ramakantha were also present.

Abhyudaya wanted to congratulate the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor on being elected and also air their grievances.

Citizens complained about over flowing drainages, rain water harvesting, solid waste management problems and pavement encroachment by vendors in their area. N S Mukunda secretary of Abhyudaya spoke about various unused tax sources.

After hearing citizens’ grievances Mayor assured them a solution very shortly. “In a meeting that was held at BBMP head office, we have instructed the engineers to find a permanent solution for SWM, drainage and sewage problem and pot holes in the roads in 37 days,” said Mayor.
